About Us

We grew up in the good ol' days in the Bronx, NY.  We are 80s babies.  We played outside on the block with the neighborhood kids.  It was the crack era, so our childhood wasn't the safest, but there was that community feeling.  All the moms knew one another.  We had plenty of fun, but our parents and our friends' parents kept us in check!  There were certain phrases we would hear repeatedly and Black Parents Say pays homage to those phrases.

We hope when you see these phrases on our apparel it brings you back to your childhood days and the sayings your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles used to say to you also.
